Eduardo P. Dolhun, MD, Founder and CEO
Eduardo is assistant clinical professor of Family and Community Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco. He was born in Mexico City and raised in Wisconsin, obtaining his bachelor degree from Marquette University. He received his medical degree from Mayo Medical School, Rochester, MN and completed his residency training in Family Medicine at Mayo Graduate School of Medicine, Jacksonville, FL. He completed three fellowships: Family Medicine Research (UCSF/ Stanford University), Faculty Development (UCSF), and Obstetrics and Gynecology (Santa Clara County/Stanford). He is co-director of Ethnicity and Medicine at Stanford University. Eduardo developed a strong interest in international primary care through his many experiences working, studying, and conducting research internationally. Eduardo has had several publications in peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Dolhun founded Dolhun Clinic, a private medical practice in San Francisco.

Jonathan Jacobs, MD, President
Jonathan has been a strong advocate universal health care access. He is founder and chair of Mid America Physicians for a National Health Program. In 2004 Jonathan joined Eduardo in the initial selection and evaluation of the first site and has been fundamental in the development of DOCS. Jonathan received his bachelor degree from Columbia University and obtained his medical degree from Mayo Medical School, Rochester, MN. He completed a dual residency in internal medicine and pediatrics at the Cleveland Clinic. Jonathan is in private practice in Kansas City, MO. and serves as Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Kansas Medical School and is Co-Medical Director of St. Lukes Hospice.

Matthew Hawe, Treasurer
Matthew worked in Jordan for two years with the Peace Corps. His primary job was small business development, working with a Jordanian handicraft institution. Matthew is enthusiastic to continue promoting cultural understanding through DOCS by uniting his skills in business and international relations with his desire to improve the delivery of health to rural communities worldwide. Matthew has held various positions at Chiron Corporation, a leading biotech company – Strategy, Corporate Planning and his current role in Sales & Marketing. He earned his MBA from UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business and his Bachelors in Chemical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame.
